A reunion 4 years later

Just recently the quartet was playing on the Willy Wall. Haven’t heard of it yet? It’s a floating barge/bar in the NY harbor near the Statue of Liberty that you access via a tinder boat from Jersey City, NJ. Super cool spot. We’re actually playing again August 17, 2025- you should get tickets!

Anyway, After the first set, a man approaches me and says something like “Peter, I love you, man! You’re the best!” I was taken aback but this guy looked oddly familiar. Guess what? I had played his wedding 4 years ago and that day was exactly the 4 year anniversary! He had gotten the email announcing the gig and decided it would be a nice thing to do for his anniversary. It was such a thrill to see them and when I told the story to the crowd, the bar was generous enough to break out a bottle of champagne to help them celebrate as they danced to the music!

So here’s to Greg and Polina, and may they have many more happy years together!
